Privacy Policy

Who we are
Memento (memento.onl) is a disposable-camera-style event platform for weddings and parties. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it when you use our website, host dashboard, or guest event links.
Information we collect
Account information: when you register as a host with email, we collect your email address and password. We receive the password only to create or verify your account and store a one-way hash. We may also store an optional display name and avatar. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, we do not collect a Memento password — only the provider identity details needed to create or link your account.
Event and content data: event names, schedules, branding assets, guest names/aliases, photos guests upload, optional photo location coordinates and place labels, gallery settings, and related analytics (joins, shot counts, download counts).
Payment data: paid plan upgrades are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive order identifiers, plan tier, amount, and receipt links. We do not store full card numbers.
Technical data: IP address (including for guest join limits), device/browser information, and basic logs needed to run and secure the service. We may use Sentry for error monitoring.
Google and Apple sign-in
If you choose Sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a verified identifier and basic profile information such as your email (and name when provided) so we can create or link your Memento account.
We use Google or Apple only for authentication. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, photos library, or other unrelated Google/Apple data.
Optional location on photos
Guests may optionally allow location while using the camera. If allowed, approximate coordinates can be sent with a photo so we can reverse-geocode a place label and optionally embed GPS metadata in the image file.
Location is never required to take photos. Guests can decline or choose not to be asked again for that event on their device.
How we use information
We use this information to operate Memento: create and manage events, authenticate hosts, process upgrades, show galleries, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and security.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use trusted processors to run the product, including hosting and databases, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, Firebase Authentication for Google/Apple sign-in, Resend for transactional email, Lemon Squeezy for payments, Nominatim for reverse geocoding when location is provided, and Sentry for error monitoring.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
Guest links and search engines
Guest event and gallery URLs are intended for people you invite. We configure guest routes so search engines are instructed not to index them. Marketing pages are public.
Retention
Galleries remain available according to each event’s plan limits, then expire. Hosts may delete events; soft-deleted data may remain until permanent cleanup or purge completes.
Account information is kept while your account is active. You may request account-related deletion by contacting us.
Your choices
Hosts can update profile details, delete events they own (subject to product rules), and manage gallery passwords. Guests control camera and location permissions in their browser or device settings.
If you signed in with Google, you can revoke Memento’s access in your Google Account permissions at any time. That may prevent future Google sign-in until you reconnect.
